The Stebner Gertler Guadagni & Kawamoto law firm is proud to announce that the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association (SFTLA) has recently honored one of its most dedicated lawyers and elder advocates. The Association chose Kathryn Stebner as the most recent recipient of its Civil Justice Award.

As a member of the SFTLA and an advocate for elders, Ms. Stebner is pleased to receive this award. A large part of her nomination for the honor stemmed from her efforts to hold the Oakmont Senior Living facility responsible for a devastating fire that occurred in 2017. She filed a negligence lawsuit on behalf of the residents of Oakmont. In 2018, her efforts paid off when she secured a settlement for the residents and their families.

Ms. Stebner’s advocacy efforts on the part of San Francisco senior citizens made her a natural award recipient. The SFTLA chose Ms. Stebner for her great advocacy skills as well as for her ethics, her integrity, her grit and her unfailing tenacity in protecting elder citizens.

The award also recognizes her ongoing contributions to the betterment of injured victims, their families and to consumers in general. The settlements she gains for her clients, as well as her civil trial results and arbitration awards, also made Ms. Stebner the best choice for the Civil Justice Award.

Kathryn Stebner and the other attorneys of Stebner Gertler Guadagni & Kawamoto put injured residents first in all legal matters. This includes the vulnerable elders who make up such a large part of the San Francisco community. The entire firm remains dedicated to helping those injured through negligence find justice through the California legal system.
