What Are We Up To?

This is the first in a semi-regular series of updates about our firm.  More than just working on our individual cases, we aim to be advocates for our cause in order to make real change.  We hope you enjoy getting a “behind the scenes” look at our work beyond the day-to-day!

This weekend, we are happy to be attending the Consumer Attorneys of California‘s 53rd Annual Convention. It is a great time to get together with other attorneys who fight for a cause and learn about the progress they have made.  We are especially excited this year for a few reasons:

First, Kathryn will be giving a presentation. Her topic is: Proving Rape or Molestation Cases With an Unknown Perpetrator. This topic is one that is often difficult to discuss due to the sensitive nature of the crime involved. Kathryn’s presentation aims to inform other attorneys how they too can be advocates for those that need it most.

Secondly, we are very proud that Kathyn is nominated for the Street Fighter of the Year award, along with co-counsel Kirsten Fish and Valerie McGinty. Their nomination is a result of a case that successfully fought against an unjust Arbitration Clause.

All of the nominees for the CAOC Street Fighter Award have done important work and we are proud to be in their company. It is rewarding when a case not only gets a fair resolution for the client, but also makes a lasting change on behalf of all consumers.
